this is in response to some shitty stuff i’ve seen on my dash recently. it’s super simplified, so if you’d like to know some more indepth stuff on how exactly it works, google it—OR BETTER YET actually talk to a mental health doctor psychiatrist person wow
I really learned a lot from this. Wow.
My issues with this slideshow are the fact that not all antidepressants are SSRIs and that certain antidepressants (some, not all) actually are addictive in the sense that people who stop taking them/switch to other types of antidepressants can and often do experience adverse withdrawal symptoms.
[this is coming from a person who had to switch from the SSRI, Sertraline (Zoloft), to the TCA, Buproprion (Wellbutrin).]
I can absolutely confirm this. I have been on Effexor for about 7 years and while it’s a very effective drug if a dose is missed I’ll go into sever withdrawal, making me very dependent on the stuff.
I had the same thing on Effexor, freaking hated it, but now I’m doing very well on Celexa.
this is the arrow of destiny. reblog this and see what comes up next. this person/saying/thing will have something to do with your future
